Heracles Almelo & 20face successfully started a trial with facial recognition

By February 7, 2019 News

Skybox members, at Heracles Almelo football club, have entered the football stadium on the 20th of January, at the home match against PEC Zwolle, via facial recognition technology, developed by 20Face. Heracles Almelo is, because of this, the first football club which uses facial recognition as a hospitality service.

How does it work?

Skybox members participated on a voluntary basis, “says Bas Wolters, marketing manager at Heracles.” They send us a photo a couple of days before the match and then they are recognized by the system. If it all went as we hope, we will extend this to the members of the business club and later to the season ticket holders. Everything on a voluntary basis.”
